Date: September 10-14. Venue: Chandigarh DC.
Occasion: Campus Connect Soft Skills Workshop.
31 faculty members from 16 partnering colleges participated in this
workshop. Members of Infosys’ management, senior Infoscions, and the Infosys
Leadership Institute (ILI) team along with the Infosys alliances (Stanley David
and Associates and Work Senses) made their presence felt as well.

The workshop offered a platform to the Infosys
Campus Connect team and faculty members of the partnering colleges to interact
with each other. The main focus was on the importance of Soft Skills training.
The session also included a walk-through of the Soft Skills content, so that
this can be practiced and deployed in the partner colleges.
The sessions covered included: The art of communication, The hidden data of
communication, Working in teams, Discussions, Decisions, and Business Ethics,
and Adapting to Corporate Life. This was supplemented by brain storming
and exercises.
The framework of deployment of the soft skill program in colleges was explored
in detail, with the faculty members themselves facilitating sessions on the
various phases of implementing this program in their respective college.
A measure of the event’s success? A participant says, “Thanks Infosys for
providing us with such a great opportunity to have a complete insight into the
skills required to be complete professionals and be successful in the corporate
world.” No explanation needed!
