Campus Connect Principals’ meet |
Principals’ Meet is an annual endeavor aimed at interacting with and continually
adding value to academia. It offers an opportunity for stakeholders of Campus Connect
to meet and understand the environment in which it operates and also create a plan
to counter new challenges...
The theme of Principals Meet (PM) this year was Sustainability and Effectiveness.
Objectives of the meet: • Share objective feedback, in the recruitment, training
and on-the-job performance domains, and about students joining Infosys from the
institute
• Share the campus-recruitment philosophy
• Acknowledge performing institutes for partnering in the growth of Infosys’ business
• Share current perspectives on trends and ascertain the way forward
• Interact with the senior management
Over 500 participants from more than 300 colleges participated in PM held across
seven DCs — Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore and Chandigarh.
The event started with the DC anchors setting the context for the event and the
program status across the various colleges associated with the DC. The soft skills
team then discussed PSD’s Star (Savvy, Team work, Articulation, Responsible) program,
while the HR Recruitment team shared updates on the current recruitment trends.
The focus of the event was brainstorming revolving around the following themes:
• Campus Connect Sustainability — Institutionalizing the program
• Productivity and effectiveness
• Co-creating electives — challenges and benefits (for autonomous institutions)
• Soft-skills enhancement
Colleges were grouped into teams to bring out identifiable action items for each
theme. The PLES team also participated in the discussion in Bangalore and Chennai
DCs.
The event also included experience-sharing and appreciation of advanced colleges.
Senior Infoscions from each DC participated in the meet.
