Faculty Enablement Program – Objectives and Participants
A two-week Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) was held in Mysore DC from 19 January 2009 to 31 January 2009 for faculty members from Mysore, Bangalore and Mangalore DC campus connect partner colleges. The program was attended by 37 participants from various universities. The program was unique in nature showcasing the best practices and Infosys initiatives to promote IT education.
Glimpses – Inauguration
Mr. R N Prasad welcomed the delegates and set the context and objectives of the program. Prof. Subraya, Head E&R, Mysore presented the keynote address and Mr. Shyam Sundar M.G., E&R Manager presented the relevance of E&R to Infosys.
The journey continues – The sessions
The program covered the Infosys Foundation Program Training covering all the 9 modules with Hands on experience in Programming and Testing and Advanced SQL queries. A case study was shared with the participants in all the modules starting from CHSSC to User Interface design. The Team E&R, Mysore enthusiastically supported the entire event: Vani Vasudevan, Mohan S G, Meenakshi S, Bhoo Lakshmi, Jully Vijayvargiya, Khalid K Hussain, Parimala M, Kshitiz Jain, Rengarajan R, Rajagopal Alasingarachar, Manjunatha S, Sundaresan Krishnan, Vijay Kumar B D, Alsaad Ishaq,Narayanan Rao, Ajeesh G P, Sundar K S, Vidya Rajesh Paliwal, Rajagopalan P, Shekhar HMP, Pankaj Rabra, R.N. Prasad and Lakshmi D.L. Lakshmi Narasimha from CCD presented about Brief Introduction of Infosys Network.
Ranjan M from Assessment team, E&R, Mysore conducted Online Assessment for all 9 modules in FEP in two phases. K.N.Vani, CC anchor, Mysore, played the role of Master of Ceremony for this Event and presented the FP Deployment Guide. Veerayya R, E&R admin has taken care of Logistics for the entire program.
The feedback of the participants was overwhelming with Learn ability, Industry Expectations from fresh entrants, Effectiveness of Foundation Program as the Key Learning’s during the program.
Thanksgiving
We would like to thank all the Senior members who had shared their experiences with the delegates. We would also like to thank all the E&R educators from Mysore who helped us in execution of this Programme. The program would not have been possible without the support of the facilities team, CCD team, Travel team, Finance team, E&R admin and E&R support team. Our heartfelt gratitude to them as well. We are very much thankful to Prof Subraya B. M. for his encouragement and support, R.N. Prasad for providing us with multitude of ideas, and Shyam Sundar for his valuable guidance.
