Highlights of the “Train the Trainer” workshop on Finacle UBS at Hyd DC from 19 to 21-Nov-08:
• First-of-its-kind workshop in collaboration with Finacle and Campus Connect
• Attended by 40+ faculty from 35 Campus Connect engineering colleges
• Finacle based presentations, case studies and practical exercises
Objectives of this workshop:
• Share industry best practices in core transformations
• Conceptualize projects in Finacle, Banking domain for B.Tech/MCA Courses
• Experience “learning by doing”, “learning by comparison” and “learning to learn”

• Day 1 was inaugurated by Suresh Rajagopalan, Senior Engagement Manager, Head-Finacle Hyd followed by
o An introduction to Finacle by Suresh,
o An overview of CC initiative, TTT program framework, expected takeaways from the program by Srinagesh, Senior Manager(E&R)
o Analysis of case study, workshop approach by Barnabas Paul and Sudheer Reddy
o Product Release Management and Requirement Gathering by Uday Devaraja
o Pre-sales and project initiation by Vani Vangala
o Project Management by Sanjay Sharma
o Innovation in Finacle - Financial Inclusion Solution by Gautam B, Kiran
o Brainstorming and practical exercises on Day1 topics
• Day 2 had outstanding sessions on

• Participant feedback was very appreciative of format and intent of workshops – excerpts:
o “..for the first time in our careers we have interacted with hard-core, hands-on IT professionals..”
o Infosys should organize more such workshops so that the faculty can be exposed to POV of practitioners executing software projects…
o Said they would be able guide about 1000+ students on live projects from workshop learnings, Campus Connect Portal project specs.

• The Finacle case study was a common thread across sessions.
