Team Campus Connect, Pune successfully conducted the 27th Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) at the DC during 9-20 June 2008. This was the fourth FEP at Pune DC. 43 professors from 21 engineering colleges of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Kerala participated in the program.

Mritunjay Singh, DC Head – Pune, inaugurated the event. In his address, Mritunjay shared his views on Infosys role and strategic importance of Campus Connect. Alok Tiwari, E&R PuneDC Manager, presented Education and Research – An Infosys Growth Engine. Alok highlighted on the role of E&R in the organization’s growth, and Campus Connect as one its offerings to align IT education to industry requirements.

Soudamini Patil and Sarfaraz Jaitapkar, Pune Campus Connect anchors, presented the FEP – Framework and takeaways, using digital media. Team E&R members – Priya Nadkarni, Asmita Dhanodkar, Ganesh More, Bhakti Vyawahare, Anil Thombare, and Yogesh Todkar extended their support towards organizing this program. Zamir Sayyed was the Master of Ceremony at the inauguration.

• Presentation on Infosys network by Nikhil Inamdar, Paygonda Patil and Gauri Kannan from Pune CCD Team
• A Demo on Project Management Tools by Ravi Agarwal a senior Project Managers from CMED. Arti Singh from CMED supported this demo.
• Sessions on DB2 and WebSphere were taken by the team from the IBM Academic Initiative
• Online assessments for all generic modules of the foundation program with the support from Priti Khodke and Pune ACC Team
• Importance of soft skills in IT Industry was presented by Nidhi Dhanju from Pune ILI Team
• Infosys Recruitment – Philosophy, Approach and Processes by Deepak BV and Saurabh Sharma from HRD Team

The E&R educator who delivered FEP sessions includes Soudamini Patil, Peer Ahmed Buhari, Sarfaraz Jaitapkar, Zamir Sayyed, Usha Bairy, Deepali Bhadade, Amit Tewari and Sivasubramanyam Y.

On the last day, a video conference was arranged with Dr. Rameshbabu S, Program Manager, and Campus Connect. Vibhuti Kumar Dubey, Pune DC Head, graced the closing ceremony. Participation Certificates were presented to all FEP participants. The high standards set during this FEP would not have been possible without the enthusiastic support from various IBUs and ECUs. Zamir Sayyed, from Team E&R, was the master of ceremony during closure. The event received a very good response from all the participants.
