Effectiveness Workshop – 4th Feb. 2011

This was a customized workshop for enhancing Foundation Program effectiveness at
selected 7 partner colleges from Northern region that was very well received by
the participants for its fruitful information and concrete ideas on making improvements
at respective institutes.
19 Infoscions who are 2009 recruits from these institutes and are now based at Chandigarh
DC participated in focused group discussions in this workshop.

Objective of the Workshop
- Enhancing effectiveness of Foundation Program delivery mechanisms at institutes,
thereby leading to higher performance of Campus Connect students at Infosys.
- Sharing with colleges the training performance data of their students for recent
year.
- Direct interaction and brainstorming among 2009 Infosys recruits with their respective
Principals, Campus Connect SPoCs and Faculty on the subject.
- Action planning by Institutes based on feedback from respective Infoscions.

Highlights of Effectiveness Workshop:
- The program started with context setting and sharing of objectives of the workshop,
the rationale behind the initiative and expected outcome by Manisha, Principal,
Education & Research.
- Student performance data for 2009 batch for each of the colleges was also
shared to give an insight on the subject matter.
- Thereafter, participants from each college along with their respective ‘students-turned-Infoscions’
were moved to separate rooms forbrainstorming sessions.
The objective of the brainstorming session was to come up withaction plan for improving
FP effectiveness that should be Scalable, Sustainable and Practical.
To attain this, each college was given a template to prepare a presentation onaction
items at college management level, faculty level and Campus Connect team level.
- Towards the end of the workshop, each college’s Campus Connect SPoC presented its
action plan and perspectives on enhancing the effectiveness.
- Infosys team shared further steps and review process to ensure implementation of
the strategies discussed
Some glimpses of the participants’ feedback:

as it helps in getting the college specific feedback for improving the training
methodologies.”
