| Campus Connect Regional Meet held at Bhubaneswar DC - 1 Jan 2009 |
The Campus Connect Team at Bhubaneswar DC conducted the Regional Meet from December 18-19 . The theme of the event was GEAR – Greater Effectiveness And Results.
The meet started on the evening of December 18. The agenda of the evening was highlighting the Campus Connect program and its achievements and appreciating the contribution made by Infoscions for the Campus Connect program.
The Regional Meet saw the active participation of 55 delegates from 32 engineering colleges from the states of Orissa and West Bengal.
Highlights of the event included:
1. Inauguration and context setting for the Regional Meet by Bhubaneswar DC Head Abhijit Sen.
2. Sharing of the recruitment and learning unit perspective on the Campus Connect program status and students’ performance by Nirmalya Chaudhuri, E&R.
3. Appreciation for the contribution made by the colleges by Amrita Deo, E&R.
4. Session on The Expectations from Fresh Entrants - A Recruitment Perspective by Tanvir Singh and Sudhanshu Mishra from the Global Entry Level Recruitment & Campus Relations Team (through Teleconferencing).
5. Dr. Ramesh Babu, AVP, E&R joined the event through video conferencing to share the road aheadfor 2009.
6. Session on Soft Skills Deployment by Sumeet Chakraborty, ILI.
7. Group discussions on ‘Shaping Effectiveness at Campuses’ were facilitated by the Campus Connect team for the participants on ‘FP as an Elective at Engineering Colleges / Universities’ , ‘GEAR’ , ‘FP as an online / e-learning at engineering colleges’, ‘Effective Industry Institute Interactions’.
The event received overwhelming response from the participants.
Volunteers who made the Regional Meet 2008 successful included Arpita Ray (IHLD), Biswajit Mishra (BCMD), Ipsa Khandagiri (EUSD), Pradeep Kumar TGS (IHLD), Rajaram Keshavram Sharma (EUSD), Sathish Kumar Vinayaga Moorthy (EUSD), Udaya Kumar Mehta (IHLD).
