| Campus Connect Team conducts DDFEP on Web Technologies @ BBSR 13 April 2009 |

The Campus Connect team at Bhubaneswar DC conducted the Deep Dive Faculty Enablement Program (DDFEP) on Web Technologies from March 16-20. The event was inaugurated by Abhijit Sen, the DC Head. He delivered the keynote address, Role of Infosys Campus Connect Program and Driving Industry Electives. Dr. Ramesh Babu, AVP, E&R joined through video conference to give an overview of the Campus Connect program and explained the context, framework and takeaways of DDFEP.
The highlights of the five-day event were:
1. A session on Fundamentals of Client Server Concepts by Nirmalya Chaudhuri, E&R and Intro to Web Technologies (IWT) by Dr. Sarat Kumar Maharana, MFG. This was followed by relevant discussions on the case studies presented.
2. Sessions on Infosys Network and Web Applications by Subhasis Neogy, Manager- CCD BBSR and Sanjaya Kumar Das, CCD. A hands-on with the participants at the CCD Center of Excellence (CoE) at Bhubaneswar. Click here to read more about CCD CoE.
3. The sessions were followed by group discussions on Web Architecture by Tapas Mishra, Delivery Manager IHL and Debasis Rath, SPM IHL.
4. Case-study discussions along with sessions introduced participants to examples of Web Based Applications, Web 2.0, Web Analytics, Web Crawling by Nirmalya Mishra, SPM MFG.
5. Sessions and hands-on exposure to Web Servers by Debasis Pradhan, Delivery Manager MFG and his team Prahsanjit Saharoy, Spandan Chatterjee, Rajeev Mittal, Khusboo Agarwal, Kamesh B. Tagore from MFG.
6. Session on Web Security by Pramod Prakash Panda, Delivery Manager IVS
7. Sessions on OLTP in a Web Based Scenario bySubhankar Paul, SPM MFG
8. Session on Testing Web Applications delivered by Bhupesh Deka, E&R along with Nirmalya Mishra who demoed the testing tools – RFT and also delivered a session on Best Practices in Web Technologies
9. Session on Web Based User Interface Design by Devopam Mitra, PM MFG
R.N. Prasad, AVP, E&R joined the concluding day session via video conference for the learnings and road ahead. Amrita Deo, E&R and Niladri Prasad Mishra, Finance gave away the certificates and mementoes to the participants at the valedictory session.
The feedback by the participants of DDFEP was excellent for the entire program. They were highly motivated as evident from the feedback of the sessions and the event.
